Musical practise room

A new room for band practice to be placed in different areas of the town, it was immediately proved an exciting topic to be solved.
Also in a small town for children, never miss equipped toys in in one of the public parks, just like never miss places to play cards for their grandparents, the hobbies, the free time, so this request made all for the children needed to be used, for the music, a didactic,enjoyable and formative free time.
Not knowing yet precisely where it would be located, it was thought an object that could a little bit look like also a “sculpture”, a thing capable of giving emotions to the people who walk around the town, going to work, and not only to the people who will use it for their hobby. So, an object which could personalize and enhance also the surrounding where it is situated.
A room for band practice is a place full of vibrations, of dynamism, of vitality… from here we started to arrive also to the architectonic form proposed. A place where the music has to be closed in its inner but whose waves make it vibrate until the canopy of the entrance doesn’t distort like an accordion which is playing.
All the volume of the small room, turn out to be slightly elevated from the ground and connected by a winding ramp, as required for the disabled regulation, which almost seems announcing that in there, with the soundproofed door closed, you are in another world: the world of the music and young people.
All the supporting structure is expected to be made of lamellar wood, the perimetral walls, like the ceiling and the floor, are made or wood but in their inner they have technological hearts made of different materials to avoid to the sound to spread outside the room. Particularly the acoustic soundproofing is obtained from an acoustic panel (on all the inner surfaces) and with a double plasterboard wall with a layer of lead rubber (on all the surfaces and the ceiling, except for the floor where there only is the lead rubber).
One of the walls is expected to have the covering of soundproof pyramidal panels for a suitable distribution of the sound in the place. Also the door is expected to be soundproofed.
Externally the wood heart is protected by a metal surface (like little waves) which being a different material compared to the ones used internally, it works as another soundproof barrier.
Dealing with a structure which by nature has to be closed, is expected to be used an air-conditioning treatment plant in order to guarantee the right air exchange and the cooling and heating changing.
